In Chapter 6, the idea of a curriculum, or the knowledge, skills, and performance standards students are expected to acquire in particular grade levels through teacher instruction, was discussed. Another topic that was introduced, was how to frame and guide such a curriculum so there are set expectations throughout the education system so no one in any place is ahead of someone else, a level playing field is established. The chapter talks about how to integrate technology into planning a curriculum and into the classroom with web pages, software, and integrating classrooms with computers rather than just having computer labs so that presentations can be possible on learning material. The ASSURE model was talked about as well, in the sense of using it as a guideline for technology in learning.

Since my last post, I have learned a lot. One thing is that I now know how to make and execute changes in an excel chart. I only knew how to make one based on the information highlighted, now I know how to transform different aspects. I also know how to change the look and aesthetics of the chart as well.

Something interesting I would like to share with the class is that Aladdin's Hookah bar is having specials on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday nights. It is a really cool place that stays open until 2am and has wireless internet and is great for studying. I don't know the specifics on the deals except that Wednesday is ladies' night and ladies get a free cup of prince or princess tea. It is a great environment for hanging out and relaxing on the comfy chairs and if you don't like to smoke shisha, they have food and great and exotic teas that make the trip worth it. Check it out!
